Livernois Race Series 5.2 block is based around a 5.2 Voodoo block that's then heavily modified and prepped for very high power applications. These modifications include custom sleeving the block, as well as billet main caps to address the weak links when you start pushing the factory block.

The block is bored on our in house CNC block machining center, which is capable of precisely machining the block exactly to the original intended blueprinted dimensions. The weaker stock sleeves are cut out and then using our proprietary method for machining and fitting the sleeves we install much higher strength centrifugally spun custom ductile iron sleeves. This greatly increases the bore strength and overall block strength and allows for much better bore geometry under load, which leads to better ring seal and more power. Additionally the added strength allows for significantly higher power levels than what the stock sleeves will support.

The custom billet mains are made entirely in house at Livernois on our 4 and 5 axis CNC machines. These caps are significantly higher strength than the factory caps and allow for much higher power levels. The caps are profiled and designed to match the stock caps dimensionally with only minor changes for additional strength increases, and greater contact and support with the block webbing and side registers. The cap are then machined to perfectly match the 5.2 block allowing for a seamless installation of standard main bearings and crankshafts with no special work required. The billet steel alloy that was chosen for the caps offers the best combination of strength and fatigue resistance and are significantly stronger than the stock caps.
